I'm ready for my new family!

Riley is a gorgeous, 1-year old lab-pit mix.  She is a sweetheart even though she went through a rough patch.  First she was surrendered to a shelter in West Virginia by her owner who, for medical reasons, was no longer able to care for her.  She was so terrified and confused at the shelter!  Then she was spayed and sent off to her foster home within a few days.  Once at her foster home, Riley started out skittish, scared of everything and everyone, refusing to eat, and getting her to go potty was a big challenge.  What a difference a little patience and love makes!  Within a few days, Riley was a completely different dog!  She has bonded to her foster family including the resident dogs.  She thoroughly enjoys the toy box and walks around all day with a toy or bone in her mouth.  She enjoys exploring the backyard and going on walks.  She loves prancing around in the water when we turn on the hose, although she is still undecided about the pool.  Riley is housetrained and is so great in the crate.  She usually does quite well on the leash but does pull sometimes.  She is easily corrected though.

Riley is such a joy to have around.  She would make a great addition to any family!
