Meet Peppe! He is a charming 1.5yrs old Texas heeler, with the most gorgeous markings, weighing 46lbs - perfect medium-sized dog.

Peppe's journey started six months ago when he was found as a stray in North Louisiana, facing tough weather while being homeless. When he was first being picked up, he was covered with fleas and very thin. With kind care from shelter staff, he gained a healthy 10lbs and made his way up north to find his forever family. Since he came from a very isolated rural area shelter, all the urban life is completely new to him, he amazed his foster family with his quick adaptation, decompressing within days and revealing his true personality.

Despite a challenging start, Peppe has proven himself a model canine citizen. He is housebroken, crate-trained, walks well on leash (not a puller, just sometimes dances in circles). He's a sweetheart who loves to give affectionate kisses to everyone he meets, and once he warms up, he's full of joy and playfulness. Peppe learns quickly by watching his foster sibling, he enjoys the company of other dogs and would love to have a playmate in his forever home. After letting the energy out, he can settle down quietly, when his foster mom is not available to give him attention, he will dig out the toy bin to entertain himself. He's the perfect blend of playfulness and cuddliness, wrapped up in one adorable package! Because he's a young herding dog, Peppe would do best in an active household that can provide enough mental and physical stimulations for him to thrive.
