Oscar is a 3.5yrs old, medium-size, laid-back gentleman. He is 50lbs, petite and chubby :P. Neutered and vaccination UTD, walks well on leash, takes treats from your hand politely, meets other dogs calmly and well-mannered, respect cats’ boundaries, this guy has the full package! Oscar is mostly housebroken, since he might have accidents due to anxiousness when being left alone, keeping him crated when unattended solves this issue and he is making progress with it everyday. He is a couch-potato with really low exercise requirements, happy to run around with other dogs but taking naps on the top of throw pillows is his favorite.
We believe he grew up as a beloved pet, but being homeless and staying in crowded shelter for a long time makes him a bit timid and conservative when meeting new people. He warms up quickly when you lower your body and show him you have yummy treats in hands. Once warm up, he is a Velcro dog and is quite playful with his canine friends. Other dogs' companion gives him more security and confidence. Now at the foster family, we see him open-up and gain confidence every day. If you can be patient with him, give him some time to trust you, he will return you with all his love and a great family pet!
He has been keeping his paws crossed and waiting patiently for a long time, will you be willing to give him a chance?
