I'm ready for my new family!

Don’t let his size or age cause you to overlook this sweetheart! Morgan is a big package of sweetness and affection. He is 8-years-young, and a black lab mixed with something large (Great Dane? Anatolian Shepherd?), weighing in at 90lbs. He is truly a gentle giant - sweet, quiet, and friendly. He is amazing with all people,  good with friendly dogs and cats, housebroken, crate trained and super quiet. What more could anyone ask for?!

Sadly, Morgan’s owner passed away and this big love bug found himself in a shelter in KY. He quickly became a staff favorite. Over the holidays the shelter staff took him to a Christmas parade  and they reported that with hundreds of people around, he was the best dog there. The shelter contacted our rescue asking us to find a new home for this deserving guy who they rave about. 

In his former life, he lived on a farm and was tasked with protected the chickens, so he loves the outdoors and would enjoy a new home with a fenced in yard where he has some space to stretch his long legs. 

Morgan would be a great fit for any family with hearts big enough for a big dog, and looking for a more mature, calm and gentle pet who will be easy going and friendly with everyone.

Morgan is an absolute gem and deserves a loving family and a soft place to land.
