We're happy to tell you that Lucy has a new furever home. Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.
Lucy came to Rogers' Rescues the end of October. We had a little bit of a medical mystery on our hands when Lucy first tested Positive for Heartworm, then a negative test and then several consistent Negative tests. The vet is not sure why 2 of Lucy’s 7 tests came back positive but we know that she is on Heartworm preventative since she arrived.
Lucy is said to be a Goldendoodle. Yes, you read that right! If you've been looking everywhere for a Goldendoodle, Lucy could be your girl. She's cuddly, loves to play, and is fine with other dogs. Be forewarned, though--if you're looking for a "doodle" because they don't shed, Lucy is not your girl. Her shedding genes seem to have come from the golden, not doodle side. Lucy definitely has that Golden trait of wanting to be wherever her people are. She often becomes her human’s shadow and every time you turn around - there she is!!! If you’re interested in Lucy, please be ready to share your personal space. Lucy will love you with her whole being and part of the way she shows that is to be as close to you as possible whenever possible.
Lucy was cooperative with grooming, rarely has an accident in her foster home, loves all the humans she's met, and is a super-sweet mush. If you're interested in her, please contact [email protected] and/or fill out an application to adopt on our website.
