Are you looking for a canine companion that is as sweet as candy? Then Lolly might be your girl!

Lolly is an approximately 6 year old female mixed breed dog that found herself terrified, emaciated, and alone in a large Kentucky animal shelter. She was brought in by animal control, and looked like she had not eaten or known love in a LONG time. Lolly was revived by the shelter staff who showed her that people can be good and started getting some weight on her emaciated body. She was scared of the world, but with the help of the loving staff and the other dogs at the shelter, Lolly slowly began coming out of her shell.

Now that Lolly is in a foster home, this sweet girl is living her best life! She is the BEST low key companion. Lolly loves to roll on her back and act silly, but quickly tires and goes back to laying at your feet or next to you on the couch. She is already housebroken, and is a perfectly good girl in her crate as well. Lolly doesn’t know what to do with toys, but will be somewhat interested if she hears it squeak.

What is Lolly’s favorite thing? BUTT SCRATCHES. She does a silly dance with her back legs, and shakes her booty if you’re willing to give her butt a good scritch. This girl is quite the comedian!

Lolly lives in a foster home with 3 dogs that are larger than her, and she gets along with them fine. She minds her own business and isn’t much of a player. Lolly could do well in a home coexisting with another dog, or as an only pet. Lolly has not been tested with cats, but she does have a prey drive, so no small animals for this girl!

Lolly is a sweet and gentle soul, and her eyes look right through you. When she meets new people, she is a little hesitant at first, but with some treats and gentle pets she warms up in a matter of minutes! She could do well in a home with children, as long as they are respectful and  know their boundaries.

Lolly does not require too much exercise, so a fenced in yard is not a must for her. She would do just fine with a couple of leisurely walks a day.
