Meet Holly, an adorable Golden Retriever mix who was rescued from a shelter in KY. This sweet girl has sent her letter to Santa, asking him to find her the most perfect forever home:
Dear Santa,
I would love to find the most awesome home where I will be the center of attention. I coexist with my foster dog siblings, but they really don’t interest me much—I am all about my people and want them to endlessly dote and spoil me rotten.
Speaking of being spoiled, please, please, please let my new family shower me with more toys than I know what to do with. I am currently working on how to figure out how to shove more than one toy in my mouth at a time but have not yet been successful—but with enough practice I may figure it out.
I think the thing I would love most of all is to have a forever home with a human who would be with me most of the day. I LOVE nothing more than to lay at my foster mom’s feet while she works during the day, and then drape myself over my foster dad’s lap on the couch with a toy in my mouth while he tries to watch TV. They also love to take me on walks, and I am so, so good for them—walking nicely next to them and looking up at them to make sure they are still with me. They even let me pick up a stick and carry it with me when I walk!
Older kids would be okay in my home as they would understand that I sometimes get really excited about my toys and might accidentally mistake a hand for a toy. I am learning the rules and trying to be so good, so I don’t want anything to derail my progress. The two boys I live with now (ages 13 and 16) think I am super funny with my goofy sounds and they have so much fun throwing toys for me to chase.
Finally, the absolute icing on the cake for my new home would be to have a fenced yard. I loved to race outside, grab my toy, and run around the yard, leaping and pouncing on it. My foster mom and dad say that I am such a good girl, always pottying in the backyard and never in the house. I also keep my crate super clean too!
I would be so grateful to you Santa if you could help me find my perfect home—I may even share one of my toys with you!
Holly
