If you are looking for a perfect second to add to your home, look no further than Faith! Faith is a one-year-old, 45lb shepherd/hound mix who has been a wonderful doggie companion since arriving in foster care. She loves to run and play with other dogs, has a blast playing tug of war, and adores hanging out on a dog bed or couch with her doggie companions. She is very good at reading cues from other dogs and can happily coexist with them if they don't want to play.
Not only is she the perfect dog companion, but she is also a wonderful human companion too! She will sleep at your feet while you work, hangout with you on the couch, and eagerly jump at the opportunity to go for a walk with you. She walks well on a leash, although she will try and chase small critters if she spots them!
Faith is perfectly crate-trained and launches herself into a crate if a treat is offered as an incentive. She is also 100% housetrained, sits at the door to wait to go outside, and sits when offered treats. She is a very smart girl who is highly motivated by treats, so she will respond very well to training.
Speaking of treats, one of her favorite outdoor "treats" is when her foster mom gives her a homegrown tomato from the garden. She is so cute to watch as she takes and tosses it up in the air, nibbles on it, and then eats it all!
She loves all kinds of toys and especially loves to chew on bones. She would love a fenced yard to run around and play with other dogs. She is the perfect balance of active and playful when engaged, and then quiet and chill for much of the time—basically just a really fun dog who understands how read the room!
As you might gather from her writeup, her foster parents are rather smitten with her and think she is just an awesome dog! She is currently being fostered in Bethlehem, PA, just hanging out waiting for her perfect forever home.
