Meet Dutchess — a little dog with a big heart and an even bigger story.

This sweet girl was rescued from a high-kill shelter after tragically losing her beloved owner. Confused and scared, she suddenly found herself in a noisy, overcrowded place full of unfamiliar faces and sounds. Despite everything she’s been through, Dutchess’s gentle spirit and loving nature have never wavered.

Dutchess is an affectionate, happy little soul who adores being the center of attention. She loves snuggling, giving kisses, and will melt right into your arms the moment you pick her up. Playful and eager to please, she’s the kind of companion who brightens every day with her joy and loyalty.

She’s housebroken, uses a wee pad when needed, and enjoys car rides and walks. Dutchess also gets along beautifully with the other dogs in her foster home and loves engaging in playtime with them. At night, she’s just as happy curling up in bed with her human as she is snoozing peacefully in her crate or cozy dog bed.

Dutchess does have a cherry eye that occasionally comes and goes, which can be easily corrected. Otherwise, she’s in wonderful health — fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, and current on all preventatives.
