I've found my furever family!

This unique 3-year-old, 63-pound Labrador Retriever and Blue Heeler mix possess a distinct charm that sets him apart from the traditional single-color labs. Despite being a bit overweight, Blue's ideal weight of 55lbs aligns with the typical medium-size lab standard.

Blue found himself in shelter after his owner was hospitalized, this sweet boy waited patiently in shelter for his owner’s return, but his owner couldn’t take care of him anymore. Rogers’ Rescues saw this beautiful soul and we're determined to help this sweet soul find a new loving home.

Blue embodies all the classic traits of a lab, from his head to his body build and personality, yet he boasts a unique appearance with his striking Blue Heeler fur, Bentley mark, and Honeybee tail. He barely shows any herding traits, so if you are looking for a high-drive herder, he is not your pup. He has typical lab’s personality, super easy-going, chill, happy-go-lucky, there’s no stranger in his world and his tail never stops wiggling.  He is fully house-broken, crate-trained, loves car rides and doing well with other dogs! He is a perfect combination of playfulness and chillness, he is super good at entertaining himself with toys, and then he is happy to spend the rest of the day sleeping soundly by your side (be prepared for some loud snoring!). We think he might not have many chances to go for walks in his previous home, he may need some leash training due to his excitement during walks. 

Blue is a low-maintenance dog who thrives on simple pleasures: sunbathing, toys to play with, humans to hang out with, and a comfy bed to snooze in.
