I've found my furever family!

Blake is a good-natured, handsome 10-year old Beagle.  He is approx. 27 lbs.  He is so trusting, affectionate and sweet with everyone that you could never tell that he spent almost every day of his 1o-years chained in the yard of his owners house.  He was surrendered when the owners were ordered to provide some kind of shelter for him.  That was the best thing that could have happened to Blake because he got the medical care he needed at the shelter and then made a trip up to PA to his foster home.  We are determined to find the perfect forever family for him, one that will give him the love and care that he so deserves.

Blake is quite active considering his age!  He loves going on walks and running around the backyard.  He hasn't yet figured out what toys are, so he sniffs them but then walks away.  He is so good with our dogs but a little socially awkward in that he doesn't pick up on cues to back away.  When the resident dogs eventually growl to warn him off, he just walks away.  He will settle on the couch to nap and sleeps soundly through the night.  He does very well in the crate.
