I've found my furever family!

Hi I'm Stax!  I've stopped running around for a moment to tell you all about me!  I'm a young (9-14 months) red merle Border Collie with lots of energy and love to give.  I love all people and dogs I meet!  I'm a power snuggler with my people and a playful guy with other dogs!  I can be shy when meeting new people initially but i quickly warm up and then want nothing more than to cuddle with you!   I am fast and love to play with other dogs or I'll toss a ball with myself for fun too.  I'm learning the ropes in foster care as no one bothered to train me.  I was left for long periods in a crate in my previous home.  I was covered in urine, my nails were overgrown, I was loaded with worms and I was super skinny when I was brought to the shelter in KY.  Luckily Rogers' Rescues scooped me up and got me all cleaned up .  I'm housebroken and learned "sit" and "down" in one training session. 

I would love a home that understands Border Collie energy and is willing to continue training me.  Previous herding dog experience would be great!  I'll need a fenced yard and another confident dog in the home to help me learn the ropes.  I love all dogs!  Even the cranky dogs in my foster home like me!  I can be anxious at times and I'm not a fan of being left alone which my foster home is working on with medication and practicing leaving for short periods. 

My foster Mom thinks I'm at most a year and a few months old.  I was only 26 lbs a month ago when brought to the shelter, but am up to over 30 lbs now!  I should be about 35 lbs.   Also I'd prefer a home without cats.  I like to chase them for fun which I was told the cats do not always like.  

If you want a new bestie to explore with and then snuggle with, I'm your guy!  I love car rides, snacks, toys and yes I do have one blue eye and one brown eye and am quite handsome too!
