Watson is estimated to be about 10 years old. We was found wandering about and brought into the shelter. His owners were located, but they never came to get him! He was a hunting dog in his younger days and had been discarded now that he is too old to hunt well. Based on the condition in which he was found, his owners had not taken good care of him. He was in such bad shape that the shelter was considering euthanasia. Thankfully they decided to see how he would respond to some medical care and TLC, and boy, did he respond well!
Watson has been an absolute delight in his foster home! He is so sweet and easy going. He has the perfect energy level - enjoys his walks and exploring the backyard, but also happy to play with toys or nap on the couch. The resident dogs love him, and his foster family adore him!
Watson has an eye condition where his eyes don't make enough tears. He receives drops and an ointment for this condition. Watson is so accommodating when it comes time to administer his meds! He doesn't seem to mind at all, and looks forward to the little treat he receives afterwards.
Watson has to much life left in him, and he has so much to offer! He would be a great addition to any family!
