I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Lacy

We're happy to tell you that Lacy has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

What a wonderful dog!  Lacy traveled all the way from a Kentucky shelter after she was found as a stray. She was very thin, dirty and neglected.   In spite of this she holds no grudges.  She has the sweetest disposition.  She is grateful for a warm home, a soft bed and lots of loving.  It’s hard to believe she is only 6 months old.  She is calm, easy going and laid back.  She loves neck scratches and big bear hugs.  She is housetrained, she is quiet, she is excellent in the crate, she rides well in the car, good with other dogs, walks well on a leash and did I mention how calm she is? I could go on and on about how great this dog is.

Lacy reluctantly accepted a bath and has been restored to her white, fluffy magnificent glory.  She has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped.  She is 48 pounds now but is eating well so she should be back up to good weight in no time.  The shelter listed her as a Great Pyr-Golden Retriever mix.  I’m not so sure I see any Golden Retriever but she does have the Golden Retriever personality.

She sounds like the perfect dog?  No, she has her quirks.  She is young so you need to keep an eye on what she might put her mouth on.  She’s been known to put her front feet up on the kitchen counter if she smells something yummy up there.  She can be leary around strangers but once she gets used to them she is fine.   All of this stuff is mild and easily corrected.  She is smart and aims to please.

Lacy is being fostered in Easton, PA.  Please be prepared to drive to Easton to meet her.
