I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Finn

We're happy to tell you that Finn has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

The handsome gentleman that you are currently fawning over is Finn!

Finn is a 1 year old Shepherd/Husky/Pyrenees cross that came to NJ looking for his forever. Finn is originally from an overcrowded shelter in KY, where he had been waiting for his forever family, and unfortunately they never came for him:(

Since he has been in foster care, Finn has shown that he is friendly and good with everyone! He loves to be around dogs, people, and even had a good cat test. He’s the whole package.

Finn is happiest when he is spending time with his people. He became an expert at Fortnite in just a few short days, as he actively participates in it with his foster dad. Finn would be happy doing any kind of activity, as long as it’s with you! He is energetic and would love a buddy to do sports, games, or running with, or he’s usually down to settle on the couch for some snuggle time.

Finn gets along well with the 3 other large dogs in his foster home, and is very good at reading their body language and acting appropriately- even when his Doberman foster sister gets a little pushy with him. He does not have a care in the world!

Is Finn trained, you ask? YES HE IS!! Finn is housebroken and will make sure to do his business outside (as long as he has a routine), he knows several commands including sit, down, and paw, AND he brings the toy back every time during fetch! What a good boy!

Finn’s arch nemesis? The crate. Finn is not amused when he has to spend time in the crate when his foster parents aren’t home, and would love a home where he could be uncrated or gated in a certain part of the house if needed. His foster mom thinks he has anxiety when he is confined. When he knows it’s crate time, Finn will act like a dead weight and his foster dad has to pick him up to get him to go in. He then channels his inner husky and howls at the moon until he’s released from (the very comfy and toy filled) jail. But who could blame him? He likes his freedom.

Overall, Finn is a very good boy that is looking for a family to call his own. He’s smart, young, moldable, affectionate, and BEAUTIFUL! Not to mention all the fluff! If you think Finn could be the missing piece in your family, please apply at rogersrescues.com !
