I've found my furever family!

Axel is a standard sized Australian Shepard with the most stunning blue eyes you have ever seen! He is fully housebroken and crate trained. He is a perfect size at 45lbs, but his pretty fluffy coat makes him look bigger than he is. This gorgeous boy is just as beautiful inside as he is outside. He is incredibly sweet and friendly, and loves nothing more than to snuggle with his people. He is fun and playful, enjoys retrieving balls and playing with stuffed toys, and is enthusiastic about taking walks and playing outside. He is good with other dogs, and has shown no reactivity even to dogs that haven't been the nicest to him. He is wonderful with older kids. He hasn't been tested with little kids yet, and also hasn't been cat tested.

He whines a bit on car rides, but that may be because car trips have never ended anywhere fun for him. It's possible a few trips to a park, hiking trails, etc. may change his mind about the car. He needs some leash training. He's not a puller, but he does bounce up and down initially, then he does a lot of zig-zagging. He doesn't seems to know how to walk in a straight line, so learning to be relaxed on leash would be beneficial. 

Although he is very calm and snuggly for an Aussie, this is generally a breed that would do best with a yard, good daily exercise like long walks/hikes/jogs, and consistent training to keep him well socialized. His very loving nature and desire to be a lap dog means he would likely prefer to be in a home where someone is around most of the day to shower him with love and affection.

Axel would make an amazing pet for any lucky, active family!
